As reported in the Star Newspaper on 26th October, 2010, the Paz Group of companies was awarded the Manufacturing and Industrial Category as well as the Business of the Year - Business Excellence Awards for 2010 by the Hobson's Bay City Council. The award comes as Paz Group celebrates 25 years of being in business this year.

The Mayor of Hobsons Bay Councillor Bill Tehan announced the winners of the 2010 Hobsons Bay Business Excellence Awards at an awards ceremony held on Friday, 22nd October at the Williamstown Town Hall.

Following the success of last year's inaugural awards, the 2010 awards were an opportunity to again recognise and showcase the innovation, creativity and achievements of Hobsons Bay's business community.

The Mayor said Paz Group, winner of the Business of the Year Award, is an excellent family-run business, based in Brooklyn that has a very strong culture of customer service.

"Their professionalism is evident through the state-of-the-art website, the onsite training room and support of local organisations," said the Mayor.

"It galvanises the business, it gives it a little bit of focus and some kudos and recognition of all the hard work everyone in the business has put in," general manager Mario Siketa said.
